about captchas
The box you see above the submit button is called a "captcha" which is a challenge- response test intended to ensure that you are in fact a human and not a bot or other automated registration system. Unfortunately such automated systems have proliferated and clog up our contact and message board pages with plugs for ringtones, SEO services, "enhancement" products, and numerous other items in which we - and our readers - have little interest.
The captcha simply presents you with an image of distorted text which you must read and type into the input box below.
If you cannot read the text you may simply click on the topmost of the three buttons to the right of the box. This will change the image. If you still have difficulty reading the text, just click again until you find an image you can read.
Please read this article in Wikipedia if you would like to learn more about captchas.
Thanks for your patience in using the captcha system. It is a great help to us in vastly reducing spam from susceptible pages.
